What we fix

Everything with a plug,
a motor, or a compressor.

Washers, dryers, refrigerators, ranges, dryer vents, TVs and game consoles. Our technicians can tell a bad control board from a bad sensor before anything gets ordered — so you are not paying to replace a part that was never broken.

Why Tempest

You will always know
who is walking through the door.

Big chains send whoever is free. We keep the team tight on purpose — so the crew that diagnosed your refrigerator last spring is the same crew this fall, and your equipment history does not get lost between departments.

  • Straight pricing. You approve the number before a single tool comes out of the bag.
  • Honest repair-or-replace advice. If it is not worth fixing, we say so.
  • EPA 608 certified for sealed-system and refrigerant work.
  • Written guarantee on every repair, extended to two years for members.

How it works

Four steps, no runaround.

Call or book online

Tell us what the appliance is doing. We ask the right questions up front so the truck arrives with the likely parts.

Diagnostic visit

We come to you, find the actual fault, and explain it in plain English — including when a repair is not worth it.

Approve the repair

You get the price before any work starts. No surprise line items, no upsells you did not ask for.

Fixed and tested

We run the appliance through a full cycle before we leave, and back the work with a written guarantee.

Tempest Membership

Questions

The things people ask first.

Do you charge a trip or diagnostic fee?

There is a standard diagnostic fee for a service call, and it is applied toward the repair if you go ahead with it. Members get diagnostics free — that is one of the main reasons the plan pays for itself.

How fast can you get here?

Most calls in Vero Beach and Sebastian get scheduled within a day or two, and same-day slots open up regularly. Members go to the front of the line ahead of non-members.

What brands do you work on?

All of them. Every major residential brand — Whirlpool, GE, Samsung, LG, Frigidaire, Maytag, KitchenAid, Bosch, Electrolux, Sub-Zero, Viking, Speed Queen and the rest — and the commercial side of those same brands too. Residential or commercial, if it is an appliance we work on it.

What if the same problem comes back?

We put it in writing before you pay. On any repair we perform, the part we installed is covered for one year and our labor for 90 days — if that same part fails in that window, we come back and make it right at no charge to you. Homeowner members get two full years on both the parts and the labor, and business members get two years on parts and one year on labor. That is usually the whole argument for the plan: one repair going wrong in year two costs more than the membership does. What is not covered is a different failure somewhere else in the machine, physical damage, or normal wear on an old unit — we will always tell you straight which one you are looking at.

Do you handle commercial accounts?

Yes, and it is a real part of the business — restaurants, laundromats, HOAs, property management companies, senior living and hotels across Indian River County. Commercial refrigeration, commercial laundry, commercial cooking equipment and ice machines. Ask about the business membership for multi-unit pricing.

Should I repair it or replace it?

We will tell you straight. If the repair costs more than the appliance is worth, we say so and you only pay the diagnostic. We would rather keep you as a customer than sell you a bad repair.
